Please join us to see Sophie von Hellermann's painting, Elephant in the Room, at Texas Medical Center, TCM3 at Helix Park. The painting, from 2013, is pigment and acrylic emulsion on canvas and measures 7.5 feet by 10.5 feet.

Sophie von Hellermann (b. 1975) lives and works in London and Margate, UK. A solo exhibition of her work, titled Festival, is currently on view at Space K Seoul (through July 6, 2025). Other solo and two-person exhibitions of her work have been held at Greene Naftali, New York (2023, 2022, 2019, 2013, 2011); Turner Contemporary, Margate, United Kingdom (2021-23); Kunstverein Hannover (2017); Firstsite, Colchester, United Kingdom (2013); and Le Consortium, Dijon, France (2010). Key group exhibitions include Brücke-Museum, Berlin (2024); Hall Art Foundation at Kunstmuseum Schloss Derneburg, Holle, Germany (2024); Milwaukee Art Museum (2023); Hayward Gallery, London (2021); Greene Naftali, New York (2021, 2015); X Museum, Beijing (2020); Bonner Kunstverein, Bonn (2016); Gallery Met, Metropolitan Opera, New York (2014); Cranford Collection, Fundación Banco Santander, Madrid (2013); and Tate Britain, London (2011).
